www.favoritebrew.com for current pricing and online specials. This is the best website I have found, they always have great online specials. www.favoritebrew.com Checklist: 1.)1.) Rubbermaid Tub. Must be dark in color to block out light, otherwise algae will grow in your water. 2.) Pots or Nets. They must have slots or holes for the roots to grow through. 3.) Plastic Germination Tray with dome. These are only about , but are the best way to germinate seeds. You can start the seeds however you want, but start them in the rockwool:) 4.) Air Pump, (2) Air Stones, (5 ft) Hose 5.) Rockwool–comes in different sizes, click the link for more info. 6.) 6.) Lights. I use high-power flourescents. red bulbs for vegitation & blue bulbs for flowering. There are many options for lights, click the link and decide on one that fits you needs, but dont skimp on the lights, they are the most important thing. 7.) Nutrient Solution. Many to choose from, but I like Pure Blend. Click on the link for pricing. 8.) Chain or Rope to Hang Lights. Whatever you have or can get to work out. Make sure its sturdy though:) 10.) Aerofalls transplanting

by Brash on 03/11/2010

Demonstration of transplanting plants between two aerofalls, compact vertical gardening systems. Herbs are moved out of one system to make room for it becoming a strawberry only system and into another to make it an herb system. Note: The strawberries are bearing fruit very early because the first flowers were not nipped off, as is usually done. This is because I wanted to spread out the yield as much as possible, rather than having a large, sudden crop that would be difficult to support. This is also why “ever bearing” varieties were chosen.

Aeroponics using a humidifier system

by Brash on 03/11/2010

Aeroponics offers a number of benefits for the home grower. Days after shooting this video the humidifier/nebulizer failed. It was a 35$ investment but we’ll try again. Water cress grows very quickly. Arugula less so. Basil very slowly. A few problems -humidifier breaks -misters require high pressure water -lack of light Your results may vary… and please post them! Read more about this video and why you should be publishing your own educational materials: docs.google.com
