www.fyihydroponics.com These newly-planted heirloom tomatoes will do quite well in this highly aerated growing system under 600 watt metal halide lights. Check out my “Ebb & Grow Special Feature” as well to see system explanation and results..

Great visual – pretty well explains the set-up without words!
too much water in pots, need oxygen to let roots breath
Hi – thanks for the comment!
I know it seems that way, but the Ebb & Grow system actually provides MORE oxygen to the plants roots than a standard ebb and grow because it fills the pots higher then drains to replace the oxygen several times a day. You are right though – if the water remained in the pots without draining, it would be bad news!
you should make a new video now. also how big is that tent? how come you didnt use all 12 pots?
I will be posting a new update vid in a few days (20+ days update) – I recently switched to HPS and Bloom and the plants are lookin’ good! The tent is a DR 300. Didn’t have room to put tank external to tent but would have plenty of room for additional pots otherwise. Thanks for the comment!
oh gotcha. What kind of tent is that one…also how big is it? 4×8?
cool setup man, can you please tell me the measurements of the res. why the heck is it so big, 55 gallons seem like a lot for that amount of pots.
The DR300 Is 6’7″ wide x 9’10″ long.
The tent is 6’7″ wide x 9’10″ long. the reservoir is large because the system (EBB-12) can be expanded to operate 48 pots on that reservoir.
Thanks for the comment!
iz that hendrix
Naw – just some canned, royalty-free tune. Pretty cool though…
listen 2 hendrix/3rd stone from the sun, same song w/lyrics
I saw a fan sitting on top of the tent. Is that your cooling fan for your lights? I can’t tell which ports you’re using for the intake and exhaust of the grow room. I’m thinking about using my roof port for the exhaust. But I’m not sure how to go about using a fan to draw air into the tent via an intake port. Any suggestions?
That is the light exhaust fan – it draws air from outside the tent on the left side, and discharges the hot air through the fan to the top of the tent.. You could draw air from the outside by leaving a port open and placing another fan to discharge to the ceiling or the other way around. Good luck and thanks for the comment!
Thanks for the info.
