I have heard that HPS bulbs leak Mercury vapor into the grow room thus being absorbed by your plants.Metal halide have significantly lower levels of merury.
hi, i kind of know nothing abut light fittings, i want to attach a light fitting in my cupboard, how would i go about doing that? could i do it from plug socket?

in veg you can leave light on it 24hr if using florescent lights. If using metal halite 18 to 20 hours a day. You could go 24 hours, but it is best to give your metal halite a few hours break a day. For watering you can add Peters all purpose plant food 20-20-20 during veg.
